DANIELSON — After help from the public Troopers assigned to the Troop D Quality of Life Task Force May 2 arrested Karl Kievits, 28, at a Putnam motel on nine outstanding warrants.
Police said Kievits held eight warrants for second-degree failure to appear and one warrant for first-degree failure to appear for a total bond of $780,000 cash/surety.
A female that was present in the motel room held an active protective order against Kievits. As a result, Kievits was arrested for domestic violence and charged with violation of a protective order and placed on a $5,000 cash/surety bond for the offense.
The female victim of the protective order offense held and active arrest warrant for sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny. She was arrested and taken to the Waterford Police Department who held the warrant.
A third person in the motel room, Michael Derosier, 25, was held on two active warrants for first-degree failure to appear and second-degree failure to appear. He held a hardcopy warrant out of the Waterford Police Department for sixth-degree larceny and was arrested by Troopers and taken to the Waterford Police Department.
