PUTNAM — Celebrating 125 years in the heart of the community, Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH) invites the public to a free, family-friendly outdoor concert at Putnam’s Rotary Park July 13.
The community concert begins at 6:30 p.m. on the bandstand and will feature music for all ages provided by Fever. The evening will include family friendly activities, and food will be available for purchase provided by the Putnam Lions Club.
The concert will be followed by the first River Fire of the season at 8:30 p.m. Rain date is 3 to 4:30 p.m. July 14.
DKH has partnered with the Town of Putnam on this occasion to celebrate the community health system’s 125-year anniversary; a major milestone in its history of providing service to the community.
“This anniversary is both a time to reflect on our history and the profound impact DKH has contributed to healthcare in northeastern Connecticut, and an opportunity for us to acknowledge the support of our generous community in the past, present, and in the future,” said DKH President and CEO Anne Diamond. “The community built this hospital and they keep us standing. We are bound together through deep history, timeless commitment and our pursuit of excellence to provide hope and inspiration in our care for one another. We look forward to celebrating with the community in this way.”
“We congratulate Day Kimball Hospital on their 125th anniversary and look forward to their celebration in Rotary Park at our first River Fire of the season,” said Putnam’s Mayor Barney Seney.
