Malcolm A. Rovero
THOMPSON — Malcolm A. Rovero, 78, died Dec. 2, 2020, at Day Kimball Hospital. He was the husband of Kim C. (Cote) Rovero. Born in 1942 in Putnam, he was the son of the late Seconda and Rita (Lavigne) Rovero.
Malcolm was a 1960 graduate of Putnam High School where he was class president for all four years after which he attended H. H. Ellis Technical School graduating from its electrical department. After graduation he was an electrician at Belding Heminway as well as being a supernumerary for the Putnam Police department and then retired as a Danielson police officer.
After his retirement he went on to work as a claims manager for Warren Equities X-tra Mart. Malcolm was a member of the Putnam Elks, the Knights of Columbus Cargill Council, Thompson Rod and Gun Club. He was the former owner of Danny’s Package Store in Putnam and was an avid fan of NASCAR.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his son, Martino A. Rovero; his daughter, Tammy A. Rovero; his brother, Daniel Rovero; his sisters, Paula Looby, and Maria Werner; and his grandchildren, Nicholas G. Rovero, Saige E. Rovero, and Chase A. Rovero. He was predeceased by his son, Malcolm A. Rovero, II; his brother, Louis Rovero; his sister, Charlotte Herlihy; and his grandson, Anthony S. Rovero.
