Car vs. Sunny's
Discount Liquors
PUTNAM — A Putnam man was arrested March 4 after his car collided with Sunny’s Discount Liquors, according to the Putnam Police Department.
Steven McMillan, 29, of Mill Street, was charged with operating under the influence.
Police Captain Justin Lussier said the front of the building sustained structural damage requiring a building official to come on scene and conduct an inspection.
Lussier said McMillan was attempting to park and failed to place the vehicle in park before stepping out.  McMillan was subjected to a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests which he did not perform to standard and was placed into custody for operating under the influence.  No injuries were reported.  Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact police officer Carney at the Putnam Police Department at 860-928-6565.
