PUTNAM — A Plainfield man was cited for driving unreasonably fast after his pickup hit a utility pole near 79 Woodstock Ave., according to Putnam Police Chief Christopher Ferace.
The accident happened near midnight Aug 11.
Police said the driver, Stephen J. Radlo, 35, of 625 Norwich Rd., Plainfield, was traveling south on Woodstock Avenue when he lost control of his 2002 Dodge pick-up truck, traveled off the road to the left and hit a utility pole. The pole was heavily damaged however no services were disrupted. Woodstock Avenue was closed to thru traffic for a short time. Radio, who was alone in the truck, was not injured.
