PUTNAM — The Savor the Flavor – Apples and Empty Bowl events raised $3,000 so far, with more coming in, according to Putnam Business Association Coordinator Sheila Frost.
She said more than 200 wristbands for Savor were sold and more than 100 bowls, created by potters at Sawmill Pottery. And donations were also made. Frost said “there were many walk-up sales since the bowls were all so beautifully handmade and colorful.”
She added 2021 boasted the most restaurant participation ever with 19 eateries creating unique apple offering. For the first time, there were four establishments that are mainly beverage and so a new category, “Beverage,” was added.
