PUTNAM — A Putnam man was charged with first-degree larceny after an investigation by the Putnam Police Department.
Putnam Police Chief Christopher Ferace said Joshua I. Harvey, 23, of 292 Providence St. turned himself in to police Feb. 14 after he was advised of a valid warrant issued for his arrest.
The charges stem from an investigation in December of 2022, when the Putnam Police recovered a 2021 BMW M3 sedan, stolen out of New Jersey. Harvey had it in his possession.
Ferace said the investigation was conducted by the Putnam Patrol and Detective Divisions, with the assistance of the National Insurance Crime Bureau, Department of Motor Vehicles Auto Theft Unit and Windham County State’s Attorney’s Office.
All accused are innocent until proven guilty.
