WOODSTOCK --- Roseland Cottage’s Twilight Lawn Concert at 6:30 p.m. will present with the powerful 10-piece horn band Souls on Fire playing iconic music of the 1970s. Rain date July 14.  Grace Gourmet Food truck will be on site. Cosponsored by Historic New England and Woodstock Recreation. All concerts are free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic supper and continue the tradition begun by Henry Bowen, the builder of Roseland Cottage.

Arts and Crafts
PUTNAM --- The Putnam Arts Council announced it will be hosting its second annual Fine Arts and Crafts Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 22 and 23. It will be held outdoors, rain or shine, on the grounds of the new Putnam Municipal Complex. Admission and parking are free.

Spaghetti Dinner
PUTNAM --- Cub Scout Pack 21, of Putnam, will host a spaghetti and meatball dinner from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Albert J. Breault VFW Post 1523 on Providence Street. Tickets are $10 for adults; $7 for children 12 and under. Take-out or eat-in. There will also be a bake sale and drawings. Benefits the Cub Scout pack 21 Summer Camp Fund. Concert
WOODSTOCK --- The Performing Arts of Northeast Connecticut, The Three C’s and Historic New England will present a free concert at 6 p.m. on the lawn at Roseland Cottage with the St. Luke's Steel Band performing Caribbean music. St. Luke’s band started when New Haven’s historic St. Luke’s Church purchased a set of used steel pans in 1999. The group includes musicians from the West Indies, Antigua, Barbados, Bermuda, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago. Their repertoire includes soca, calypso, reggae, classical, sacred, jazz, popular and island folk music. Main Street Gelato will be on site.

Historic Eucharist
BROOKLYN  --- In honor of Independence Day, the public is invited to an historic Eucharist at 10 a.m. at Old Trinity Church at 60 Church St. Old Trinity is the oldest standing Episcopal church in Connecticut. The service will feature a salute to American folk music officiated by priest-in-charge, The Rev. Dr. Gretchen S. Grimshaw. Garden Tour
WOODSTOCK --- Quiet Corner Gardens, a self-guided tour of eight gardens in Pomfret, Putnam and Woodstock from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 13, is the Quiet Corner Garden Club’s latest offering to the community. Tickets can be purchased or picked up on the town green across from Roseland Cottage. $25 the day of the tour or $20 when purchased in advance at: quietcornergardenclub.com. Benefits scholarships and garden programs.

WOODSTOCK --- Roseland Cottage’s Twilight Lawn Concert at 6:30 p.m. will present the Flamingos, an all-female swing band. Rain date Aug. 2.  Grace Gourmet Food truck will be on site.
