PUTNAM --- Putnam Revaluation project is continuing.

Data collection for revaluation is continuing on the following streets: Arch St, Arthur St, Brookside St, Burnham St, Center St, Chapman St, Edmond St, Fremont St, Grove St, Harris St, Kennedy Dr, King St, Park St, Pleasant St, So Main St, Sunset Ave, Vine St

All three data collectors have identification and a letter of introduction on them at all times and will request to do an interior inspection of your property.

Dividend set
PUTNAM — Thomas A. Borner, president and CEO of PB  Bancorp, Inc., announced that the company’s Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend on the company’s common stock of $0.06  per share. The dividend will be payable to all stockholders of record as of July 25, 2018, and is scheduled to be paid on Aug. 8.
“We are pleased to announce this latest dividend payment for the Holding Company” said Borner. “We believe that providing a return to our stockholders is an important part of being a community bank.  We look forward to continuing to build our brand of community banking, a journey we embarked upon 156 years ago, and serving our mission of enhancing the quality of life in the communities we serve”.


Run For Ryan
Five members of the TriTown Junior Red baseball squad took part in the Run for Ryan. They ran for their friend Ryan French, a Killingly Vo-Ag student that Lived and grew up in Thompson who died at an early age last year in a motor vehicle accident. The 5 K is a family-friendly walk/run event to raise money for the Ryan French  Memorial Scholarship Fund. French was a three-year varsity cross country runner and a two-year varsity outdoor runner for track. Jack (Jacky Boy) Merrill, Michael (Mick) Merrill, Anthony (Scoob) Ferraro, Dylan (D1) Vincent and Matt (Matty Ice) Graurer all finished the 5-K run. English Night
WILLIMANTIC — The English Department at Eastern Connecticut State University hosted English Night  and recognized one local student: Sean Gilmartin ’18 of Eastford, who majors in English and Mathematics, was among those honored at the reception. Gilmartin received the Lifelong Learning award, which is given to a student who has shown a steady love of literature, writing and the pursuit of knowledge.

WILLIMANTIC — Tayler Shea, ’19, of Danielson, who majors in psychology was inducted into the Eastern Connecticut State University’s chapter of Psi Chi.

WILLIMANTIC — Three local students at Eastern Connecticut State University were inducted into Kappa Mu Epsilon, the national honor society for mathematics: Tracey Ferguson ’19 of Danielson, who majors in Mathematics; Sean Gilmartin ’18 of Eastford, who majors in English and Mathematics; James Rowley ’18 of Pomfret, who majors in Mathematics.

WILLIMANTIC — Two local students at Eastern Connecticut State University were inducted into Upsilon Pi Epsilon, the national honor society for the computing and information disciplines: William Ahern ’18 of Danielson, who majors in Computer Science; Mary Wishart ’19 of Pomfret Center, who majors in Computer Science and Mathematics.
