DAYVILLE — In celebration of the many individuals who continually provide countless hours of their time and talents, Westview Health Care Center hosted a volunteer appreciation dinner recently.
Among the volunteers being honored for their service, were committed volunteers Nancy and Art Loefstedt of Woodstock for their on-going devotion of 20 years to the residents and patients of Westview.
“We have loved the Monday morning sing-a-long, not only because it brings so much joy to the residents but they in turn brighten our lives,” said Nancy Loefstedt. “It is an honor to work with the many volunteers who work with us to make song time both meaningful and pleasurable for everyone.”

Holton honored
DAYVILLE — Westview recently hosted the official retirement of long time second-shift Nursing Supervisor Joanne “Jodi” Holton.
Holton received her nursing license in 1968 as a Licensed Practical Nurse and went back to school in 1969 and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1971 from Morrisville State College, formerly the State University of New York at Morrisville. She began her career in emergency and intensive care and then transitioned to long term care in 1972.
“It has been an absolute delight to be remembered in such a special way”, explained Holton. “I truly loved working at Westview and consider my co-workers, and the residents and patients my extended family. I will never forget my journey and the collection of memories made with so many wonderful people.”

Putnam Ford
hosts kids' party
PUTNAM — For the 17th year, Putnam Ford staff and President Rick Place helped to spread holiday cheer to local families at their annual “Christmas is for Kids” party at the dealership.
The party was attended by more than 50 children and adults from United Services’ human service programs, including the Domestic Violence Program, Center for Autism, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren group, and other family-oriented programs.
“The employees of Putnam Ford really love preparing and staging this Christmas Party for the kids of the programs of United Services,” said Putnam Ford President Rick Place. “It is probably one of the proudest moments of our year to do this for our community and see how we can contribute to the holiday season for all those less fortunate and have them smile with a Christmas gift!”
