Brush pickup
PUTNAM — The Town will go curbside and chip brush 6 inches in diameter or smaller the week of April 22. Have brush out for pick up on Monday, April 22. The Town will pick up brush same day as your curbside pick up day. No land clearing will be picked up by the Town.  Please put all brush and limbs by edge of property to be chipped.

History Program
CANTERBURY--- The Canterbury Historical Society will present reenactor “Chili” Bob Whatley on Day-to-Day Life of a Revolutionary War Soldier following the 7 p.m. business session at the community room at the town hall. Free. Refreshments follow.

Native Sunday
DANIELSON --- Native American Sunday at the United Methodist Church of Danielson, 9 spring St.,  will be held at 10:30 a.m. The service will feature the Spirit Medicine Drum, led by Darla Pigeon of Brooklyn.  The drummers consist of Cherokee, Hopi, Blackfoot and Narragansett tribal members.  The service is held to bring awareness of the needs of Native American rural and urban congregations, ministries and communities.  928-0308.

Donations Needed
POMFRET ---  Donations of items  for the 59th Annual Windham County 4-H Auction and Tag Sale will be accepted starting on Monday, April 15 and continue through May 2.  Call 860-974-3379 to schedule  a delivery to the Windham County Outdoor Center at 326 Taft Pond Rd or to arrange for pick up of donated items.  Household goods, furniture, electronics, books, tools, plants, gift certificates are all gratefully accepted (no used clothing please). White promoted
PUTNAM — Jennifer L. White has been promoted to vice president and commercial loan officer of the Citizens National Bank.  Her responsibilities include commercial lending, sales and business development.  Since 2001,  White’s career has concentrated primarily in the lending and credit fields of banking.  She joined Citizens National in October 2007.  
White earned her master’s degree in business administration from Nichols College, Dudley.  She received her bachelor’s in business administration from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
White’s community involvements include membership in the planning committee for the Holiday Gala, an annual event of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation that benefits non-profits assisting the disadvantaged children in eastern Connecticut.  She is also an active volunteer with Junior Achievement of Connecticut, teaching a class annually in Putnam High School’s Workplace Readiness Program.  White and her family live in Webster.
