PUTNAM — Town officials, Putnam Business Association members and friends and family filled the offices of Ameriprise Financial Services – The O’Brien Group Feb. 23 to officially welcome the business to Putnam.
Their spacious office is on Canal Street.
In her welcome, Carly DeLuca, Putnam’s new Economic and Community Development and Redevelopment Agency director, said: “The Town of Putnam is thrilled to welcome The O’Brien Group to their new location here on Canal Street. Patrick O’Brien and his partners have been serving the Quiet Corner since 2002 and are excited to expand that capacity with this new location. When talking with Pat, it was clear, this move meant one major thing: growth. While the practice has been working with individuals in the area for some time now, this move signifies more — he had so many places to choose from and The O’Brien Group chose Putnam. I think this exemplifies well the commitment to being a community practice and a proud community member. The O’Brien Group uses a personalized one-on-one approach towards each client with a solid understanding of the clients’ needs and wants. The practice staffs three financial advisors and two client relationship managers with a combined 60 years of wealth management and financial planning experience. The Town is incredibly lucky to have this asset in our community and we wish you all the success in the future.”
Mayor Barney Seney said it’s clear that they are here for Putnam. He said whenever the town needs help, for example during the recent blockbuster Fire and Ice event, “Pat was there, helping.” O’Brien recognizes this is what Putnam is all about, Seney added. “We’re about community and people.”
Kate Cerrone, vice president of the PBA, said she was proud to have a company of this caliber here.
O’Brien said, heartfelt, “This is where I grew up and this is where I want to be.” Then, on the count of three … he cut the ribbon on the 1.
