Drills and Skills Camp a Success
At the Putnam Science Academy’s Drills and Skills Basketball Camp upwards of 50 boys and girls ages 6-14 worked on a variety of shooting, passing, dribbling, and defensive skills for three days. They were split into two groups (Big East for the younger kids, NBA for the older ones) and played games each day, culminating with playoff and championship games. Georgetown won the Big East title, while the Warriors took the NBA crown. Award winners from the Big East include Riley Shaw (MVP), Jake Simanski (Coaches Award), Judley Sanon (Defensive Award), and Michael Peters (Hustle Award). In the NBA, the award winners were Drake Alvarez (MVP), Bryce Espinosa (Coaches Award), Trevor Turner (Defensive Award), and Jacob Turner (Hustle Award).
