PUTNAM — After having five high major big men go off to college this past season, Head Coach Tom Espinosa has begun to reload at the forward position as he has landed a commitment for the 2017-18 season from Osun Osunniyi, 6-foot, 9-inch forward. 

Osunniyi has already committed to La Salle University in Philadelphia where he will join PSA alum Saul Phiri. 

Osunniyi hailing from New Jersey will complete a post graduate year with the Mustangs before enrolling at La Salle in the fall of 2018. Osunniyi is known for his ability to alter shots around the basket and finish around the rim using his athleticism.

“Can’t tell you how excited we are to have a kid like Osun join the Putnam community,” Espinosa said. “This kid should blow up with us on the prep school circuit, he will be fun to watch.”
