PUTNAM --- As part of this summer’s free events, the Town of Putnam is welcoming the annual “Main Street Car Cruise” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 19 on Main Street. The Rolling Burnout event will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The cruise and the Arc Quinebaug Valley Duck Race fund-raiser were postponed from Aug. 12, due to rain.
“Main Street Car Cruise” 2018 is sponsored by the Town of Putnam and the following local sponsors: bankHometown, Linemaster, King Cadillac GMC, Putnam Chrysler, Putnam Bank, Woodstock Line, The Crossings Restaurant, Wheelabrator Putnam Inc., The Center for Bone and Joint Care, Winy Radio, Longmeadow Automotive, Chase Graphics, Gerardi Insurance, and Day Kimball Healthcare.
The “Main Street Car Cruise” events will keep people of all ages entertained. The Roaming Railroad will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Putnam’s annual Arc Rubber Duck Race kicks off at 1:30 p.m. DJ “Rockin Ron Carson” will keep the excitement flowing. The famous display of “Rolling Burnouts” begins at 11 a.m.
“Main Street Car Cruise” will begin registration for all vehicles at 8 a.m. It is free to register. Dash Plaques, Music, and Trophies will be offered. Custom Motorcycles, Custom Hot Rods, and Classic Cars will flood the Downtown Putnam area.
