Putnam Police
investigate robbery try
PUTNAM — The Putnam Police Department is investigating an attempted armed robbery around 11:45pm Feb 11 at City Gas 2 Grove Street in Putnam.
The suspect, as a white male, approximately 20-30 years old, with a thin build, wearing a ski mask and all black clothing, attempted to rob City Gas, armed with a knife.
The clerk resisted and the suspect fled the store prior to obtaining any cash or merchandise.
A police K-9 team from the Norwich Police Department attempted to track the suspect. He may have fled the area on a bicycle.
