Putnam, we’re going PINK
PUTNAM — The Putnam Police Department is taking part in the Pink Patch Project, a law enforcement campaign to bring awareness and funding to local community members battling breast cancer.
This year, the Putnam Police Department wants to “Light up Putnam Pink.” According to Putnam Police Captain Justin Lussier: “We are selling pink light bulbs for businesses and residents to display in support of members of our community including patients, survivors, family members, and friends. ‘Nobody fights alone’ and the Putnam Police Department is here to support our community!”
In addition to the light bulbs, the police department is selling pink patches, T-shirts, key chains, and silicone bracelets. All proceeds go to the Northeast Cancer Fund at Day Kimball Hospital. “Every penny stays local to help your community and friends,” Lussier added.
Let’s Light up Putnam Pink! Bulbs may be purchased at the Putnam Police Department, WINY Radio, and at our Light Bulb Sponsor Chubby Dog Coffee Co.
The fund-raising campaign runs the month of October but the swag is available year round.
