Arrested after tires slashed
PUTNAM — A Putnam man was charged after he allegedly threw rocks at cars and slashed the tires of parked vehicles.
According to Putnam Police Chief Chris Ferace, Feb.8, the Putnam Emergency Dispatch received a 911 call describing a male throwing rocks at passing vehicles and slashing the tires of parked vehicles as he was walking in the north end. 
Officers arrested Duncan M. Souza, 26, of 144 Bibeault St., on Breault Street with a box cutter. Officers said the accused had slashed the tires of multiple parked vehicles while walking through the neighborhood. 
He was charged with second-degree breach of peace, third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal mischief. All accused are innocent until proven guilty.
