At the April 15, 2026, meeting of the Pomfret Planning & Zoning Commission, the following legal action(s) were taken:
1. Shawn & Valerie Champany, 16 Tyott Rd, 26-3Z for a Special Permit under Section 4.2.6 for a retail outlet for agricultural/horticultural products, where 50% of such are grown on site, to create a kitchen and sales area in the basement of their home.   APPROVED
2. 26-2TA Heather Logee requested a Text Amendment to Section 4.2 of the Rural Residential District to add 4.4.21 Outdoor Educational & Activity Center: (Special Permit Required).  APPROVED 
3. 26-3TA Jim Rivers requested a Text Amendment that would allow for the construction and operation of a Regional Animal Control Facility within the Commercial Village District (CV) by Special Permit.  APPROVED

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Inland Wetland and Watercourses Commission
The Pomfret Inland Wetland and Watercourses Commission will hold the following Public Hearing at its meeting on May 6, 2026, starting at 7:00 PM at the Community Center:
A. 26-1W of the Town of Pomfret seeking permission to replace the bridge over Mashamoquet Brook on Bosworth Rd. with temporary disturbance of .11ac of wetlands/watercourses and .63ac of upland area.
A copy of this application is on file in the office of the Inland Wetland and Watercourses Commission, 5 Haven Road Pomfret, Pomfret Center, Connecticut. The file is available for review during normal business hours.
