Avalanche stays Unbeaten
The Avalanche pulled away midway through the third period with three goals in one minute to defeat the pesky Lightning. The game was 4 – 3 favor of the Avalanche until 6:00 minutes to go in the game. The Lightning seemingly tied the game at 4 but the goal was disallowed due to a crease violation. Then the flood gates opened when Connor Bavosi lobbed a bomb about 20 feet past the well screened goalie to make it 5-3. Fifteen seconds later Joe Wilcox took a pass from Ryan Black in for the score to make it 6-3.The final nail in the coffin was driven in by Ryan Blacks third goal of the day just thirteen seconds later.
Jake Black and Robert Totten also scored for the Avalanche while Joe Wilcox and Ryan Black had two assists. Connor Bavosi and Max Paro were also credited with assists in the win. Scoring for the Lightning were Jack Liggett, Zach Smith and Kyle Prouty. Assists were credited to Zach Smith, Jack Liggett and Darian Shunaman. Avalanche Goalie Lex Bosio stopped 14 shots while Lightning Goalie Dylan Menditto caught 22. The Avalanche remains unbeaten at 5-0-2 while the Lightning falls to 1-4-2.
Bruins Roll
 The Bruins slid into second place with an impressive win over the Red Wings 6-1. The Bruins were powered by Nick Alessandro’s Hat Trick performance scoring a goal in each period.
Tucker Sheehan had a strong game with two goals and an assist while Mike Scott scored yet again for the Bruins. Gillian Horst had two assists and Zach Gagnon contributed with one.
The Red Wings finally got on the board with a late goal from Will Liscomb assisted by Darian Shunaman. Bruins Goalie Tom Castle continues to improve his game allowing only three goals in his last two games. He stopped 21 shots on the day while Red Wings Goalie Bethany Oliver had 15. The Bruins improve to 3-3-1 and the Red Wings drop to 3-4.
