Larger Than Life
Kasey Fillmore, pictured with her mother and former coach Robin Deary Fillmore, stands in front of her billboard at Bowling Green University in Ohio. Because Fillmore is one of only two girls on the Bowling Green gymnastics team who competes in all four events (a difficult task), she and the other girl were chosen to be on the billboards on each side of the building. Fillmore was a four-time high school state champion, two-time state open champion and her senior year at Killingly High, she was the New England champion as well. She is on a full scholarship at Bowling Green. After breaking her arm freshman year and having two surgeries, she is finally fully healed and back to competing in all four events. In her first home meet this year at Anderson Arena she took second place on the bars and 4th on floor and the all around. She is a marketing major with a fashion minor degree.
