New golf
chapter
starts in CT
DAYVILLE --- The new Connecticut Chapter of the Boston Amateur Golf Society (BAGS) begins its inaugural season on April 18 at Lake of Isles.
Membership in Connecticut has grown to over 200 members. The new group has 60 events planned for the season. The complete schedule is on the website: www.bagsct.com. The Connecticut chapter is an official CSGA club .
Founder Brian Blade said "It is a traveling private golf club catering to men and women golfers of all ability levels. Members enjoy the benefits of playing many of Connecticut's private golf courses, the top eight to 10 finishers in each tournament win "bag bucks" that they can use towards the next tournament they enter. We have a brand new BAGS CT CUP POINTS RACE, where we chose 20 weekend tournaments that the golfers accrue points depending on how they finish. This is our own version of the FED EX cup points Race."
