At the Putnam Public Library last week, the AMVETS Post 47honored Norman U. Therrien for his WWII service. The appreciation certificate is from the AMVETS Post 47 of Brooklyn. A WWII Army veteran, Therrien received two Purple Hearts, served in the European Theater with the 90th Infantry Division, Company C, 315 Engineer Battalion.
