Concert is June 5
POMFRET --- The Abington Social Library will present its Annual Concert in the Park from 10 a.m. to dusk June 5 at the Pomfret Recreation Park on Hampton Road.
This day-long event of continuous music features seven live bands including the Delta Generators (the 2009 International Blues Challenge Finalist) and One Nite Stand, Johnny Press Mess, Mindset, Huxster, The Wade Elliott Band, and Back Eddy Bluegrass. Unique arts and crafts will be on display, baskets will be raffled off, and food and beverages will be available. Bring your own blanket or chairs. Benefits the oldest continuously operating social library in the U.S.
Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the gate; children 12 and under with an adult are free. Tickets can be purchased online at www.abingtonsociallibrary.org, at the library or Pomfret Town Hall, or by calling (860) 974-0415.
