Family is
celebrated
at Rectory
POMFRET --- The Rectory School’s Spring Family Weekend took place on two perfect, sunny days that began with Grandparent’s Day Aril 23 and ended with lunch on the patio outside of Colhoun Gymnasium April 24. The events, organized by Dawn Chmura, director of Annual Giving, and Nancy Gingras, director of Development, included a variety of activities for students and guests to enjoy on campus. Visits to the classrooms, Spring Musical Concert, breakfast at the Headmaster’s home, lawn games, fun run/walk, a dedication of the new dugouts, athletic competitions, and delectable meals and cookouts created a successful weekend. Also on the itinerary were the Scholastic Book Fair and the Secondary School Fair 2010.
Headmaster Fred Williams said, “Whether living locally or overseas, Rectory’s close relationship with our families was on prominent display this family weekend. In the classroom, in the concert hall, and on the athletic fields, our students’ parents, grandparents and friends experienced firsthand Rectory’s impressive strengths and defining qualities."
