Volunteer Gardeners
A group of 15 dedicated volunteers helped to plant Roseland Cottage’s nearly 3,500 annuals recently. In spite of the blistering heat and humidity, volunteers from Woodstock, Pomfret, Putnam, Thompson and beyond came out to plant thousands of impatiens, geraniums, heliotropes, dahlias, cleomes, ageratums and more. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the gardens. The grounds of Roseland Cottage are free and open to the public from sunrise to sunset everyday. June 6–12, National Garden Week, is an excellent time to visit. Courtesy photo.
