PUTNAM ---  Putnam Bank continues to support the Putnam town fireworks, and this year provided $1,500 to the town to support the 2010 Fourth of July fireworks display at Rotary Park.
“Nothing could be more American than a community bank, serving the hard-working people in the local area and helping them to find ways of achieving the American dream,” said  Thomas A. Borner, chairman and CEO of Putnam Bank.
“That’s why Putnam Bank is pleased to continue our support of the Putnam town fireworks display in honor of America, and in honor of the community we serve.”
Putnam Bank, originally chartered in 1862, is a $487.2 million federally chartered and insured stock bank.
Putnam Bank has branch offices in Putnam, Pomfret Center, Danielson, Plainfield, Griswold, Gales Ferry and Norwich.
