Notice of
Town Meeting
JULY 12, 2010
The Electors and Citizens qualified to vote in the Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam, Connecticut, are hereby notified and warned that a Town Meeting of said Town will be held at the Putnam Middle School Auditorium, 35 Wicker Street, Putnam, Connecticut, on Monday, July 12, 2010, at 7:30 o’clock in the evening for the following purposes:
1.  To choose a moderator for said meeting.
2.  To determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam on the following proposed Resolution:
RESOLVED, That the Town of Putnam appropriate the sum of Fifteen Thousand Six Hundred and 00/100ths ($15,600.00) Dollars from the Capital and non-recurring account as recommended by the Board of Finance, for the purposes of conducting a Phase II/III Environmental Site Assessment for the Putnam Armory to include:  project planning and utility mark out; subsurface soil sampling and possible groundwater sampling at six areas of concern; field screening of soil samples; laboratory analysis of samples, and date review and reporting. 
3.  To determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam on the following proposed Ordinance:
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam that the Town of Putnam Code of Ethics as adopted on May 18, 1995, is hereby repealed in its entirety and there is substituted therefore the 2010 Revised Code of Ethics.  Copies of the 2010 Revised Code of Ethics are on file in the Mayor’s Office, the Town Clerk’s Office and the Putnam Public Library and available for inspection during normal business hours.  The establishment of the Town of Putnam Ethics Commission as set forth in the May 18, 1995 Ordinance is hereby ratified and confirmed.
