POMFRET --- The Rectory School announced Maggie Ward, who has 20 years experience in financial management of nonprofits, is the new director of Finance and Administration.
Prior to joining Rectory in June 2010, she served for four years as associate director for Professional Development for the National Business Officers Association, the definitive professional resource and leading advocate for independent school business officers.
Before NBOA, she spent seven years as business manager for The Williams School, a coed day school for grades 7-12 in New London; two years as director of Finance and Operations at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Old Lyme; and five years as business manager at Yale Alumni Publications in New Haven. Ward holds a bachelor's degree in economics with a concentration in finance from UConn.
She lives in Old Lyme with her husband, three children, and a chocolate Lab.
