PUTNAM — Putnam Bank was named the 2010 Best of Putnam Award in the Commercial Banks category for the second consecutive year.
Just 1.4 percent of recipients in the country this year that have won this U.S. Commerce Association (USCA) award two years in a row.
The USCA “Best of Local Business” Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country that have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category and that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category.
“Putnam Bank is a small, community bank, but we try to have a big, positive impact in our towns,” said Lynn Brodeur, senior vice president and branch administrator for Putnam Bank.
“We work really hard to help improve the quality of life in northeast Connecticut, and we are proud that the USCA sees us as a good example for all small businesses.”
