provost named
DUDLEY — Nichols College President Gerald Fels announced the promotion of Alan Reinhardt, Ph.D., of S. Woodstock to provost and senior vice president.
“Alan and has been instrumental in embracing the global complexities of business by bringing to campus new academic specializations while strengthening our traditional ones,” said Fels. “His service to this College and its faculty has been immeasurable.”
Dr. Reinhardt began his career at Nichols College in 1985 as an assistant professor, and subsequently rose to the positions of professor, dean of academic affairs and then, vice president for academic affairs.
In his new position as provost and senior vice president, Reinhardt will provide leadership and direction for all academic programs and services, Day & Evening Divisions, and will continue to serve as the dean for academic affairs, Day Division.
Reinhardt earned a bachelor’s in English from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s in English from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. in rhetoric and composition from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife Stephanie, live in S. Woodstock and have a daughter, Sonya.
