Open forum set
PUTNAM --- Putnam Concerned Citizens, an organization founded in 2010 to focus on municipal and education issues facing Putnam voters and taxpayers, is hosting an open forum with school Superintendent William Hull at 6 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Putnam Middle School auditorium. It is free and open to the public.
The purpose of the event is to give Putnam residents and taxpayers an opportunity to ask questions of Superintendent Hull and other school leaders about the Putnam School System and its budget.
“This is an excellent opportunity for townspeople to come and find out more about our school system and ask any questions they might have,” said John Smith Jr., chairman of Putnam Concerned Citizens.
“Everything from the budget, to curriculum, to discipline, to the condition of the school buildings is on the table."
"We’re grateful that Mr. Hull was receptive to the idea of meeting with our group and Putnam residents as a whole,” he added.
