Hoops for Heart
THOMPSON --- Thompson Recreation and the Thompson Middle School and Creative Games are presenting a new event to raise funds for the American Heart Association – “Hoops for Heart,”  from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the gym.  Students in grades 5 – 8 at Thompson Middle School will hoop with basketball and with hula hoops to raise money. Camper Day
POMFRET --- The Windham-Tolland 4-H Camp will hold a “Camper Game Day” for children, ages 6-12, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the 4-H Lodge on Taft Pond Road. Lunch. PUTNAM --- The Silver Circle Gallery will host “NICA: Teachers for Teachers,” an art exhibition and sale to benefit a newly founded charity supporting education in Nicaragua, through March 27. The exhibit is a photographic essay by Putnam-based artist Lindsay Shaw Lehmann. Reception is from 6 to 8 p.m. March 4. Sales and donations directly benefit the teachers of Cincoyo, Nicaragua.
