THOMPSON --- Ninety Marianapolis Preparatory School sophomores presented their research projects at the recent Sophomore Science Fair and 13 awards were presented.
Three overall winners were named: Henry Ellis of Grafton, Mass., won first place and overall winner for his project “The Effect of Baseball Mass on Distance Traveled;” second, Emily Audet of Woodstock, “The Effect of Music Genre and Beat on Reaction Time;” third, Jon Pascone of E. Killingly,  “The Correlation Between Relative Pitch and School Performance.”
Winning the top three spots in their categories were: Biology: First Place - Yuxin (Rebecca) Fan; Second Place - Kaven Matyczynski; Third Place - Alejandra Fereirro. Chemistry: First Place - Eric Bordua; Second Place - Gianna Duncan; Third Place - KaYan (Angel) Chu. Physics: First Place: Henry Ellis; Second Place -  Kai (Catherine) Kang; Third Place -  Yujia (Jackie) Shao. Psychology: First Place -  Emily Audet; Second Place -  Jon Pascone; Third Place -  Patrick Kunkel.
