POMFRET — The Rectory School dedicated its new tennis courts April 29 under clear, sunny skies, just perfect for the game.  Headmaster Fred Williams said, “For 27 years the Lambien Tennis Courts served the growing number of tennis players on this campus; however, the courts began to show their years some time ago.
"Now thanks to Hugh and Margaret Whipple, the Turner-Delaney family, and the Chan family, along with support of others, Rectory’s tennis facilities are top notch.  These improvements, while great for the tennis fans on campus, are also symbolic of the more comprehensive efforts to come, as we work to bring our entire campus up to the same standards our tennis courts now reach.”
The School community was on hand to see an exciting doubles match between benefactors, Bobby Turner and Michael Chan, and Headmaster Fred Williams and Assistant Headmaster Brad Seaward.
