POMFRET ---  After some fund-raising by students and teachers, The Rectory School presented a check for Japanese relief May 27 to Nori Yamamoto, manager of U. S. Cosmetics Corporation, to buy recreational supplies for a school that had to be evacuated.  The corporation, in Dayville,  and the U.S. plant outside Tokyo, is matching the funds that Rectory raised and increasing it to $10,000.  Headmaster Fred Williams told the students that he was proud of the way they were looking beyond their own needs and practicing global responsibility.  “The compassionate response of Rectory students has been admirable. "
