PUTNAM --- Lillian and Theodore Messier Sr. of Putnam celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary on May 31. They were married in 1937.
Lillian retired from the Day Kimball Hospital after serving 30 years as a cafeteria employee. She was also the former Regent for the Daughters of Isabella for 24 years, chairlady for the Counsel of Catholic Ladies Den Mother for the Cub Scouts Troop 21, chairwomen of the St. Mary’s Circle of Fun Saint Mary’s Church in Putnam for 24 years.
Theodore is a former Grand Knight and recently retired after 40 years as the active Treasure for the Knights of Columbus Council # 64 and two years as a District Deputy, co-chairman for 22 years of the St. Mary’s Circle of Fun, former chairman of the Boy Scouts Troop 21 in Putnam. The have also been active in a variety of local civic organizations.
