Welcome to Agrabah, City of Enchantment, where every beggar has a story and every camel has a tail! All of your favorite characters are here in this stage adaptation of the Disney hit, including Aladdin, Jasmine, and of course, the Genie.
The Broadway Jr. series presents musicals which are adapted to be more manageable for young performers. The story of these truncated versions closely follows that of the original film. Break-A-Leg Productions is known for its wide variety of hit shows performed by youthful casts, for children of all ages.
The Bradley and Carl Mercier (the creative force behind Break-A-Leg) are excited about this collaboration and hope to have more jointly produced shows in the future. By working together, they are able to present Aladdin Jr. as an “Off-Bradley” production, with rehearsals being held at The Complex and performances at the Bradley. This minimizes conflict with Bradley main season shows for rehearsal space and gives Break-A-Leg access to a larger theater for their audiences.
Aladdin Jr. is directed by Seana Hendrickson with Carl Mercier as executive director. Jeremy Geragotelis and Hannah Smith are music directors, choreography is by Molly Archambault and Cathy Schora is the costumer. The ensemble cast is headed by Paul Lietz as Aladdin and Elena DeLuca as Jasmine. Jafar is played by Shane Kegler, Brittany Gould is the Genie, Samantha Orlowski appears as Abu and Iago is Jonathan Forst. For tickets call 928-7887. They are also available at Wonderland Books and Victoria Station Café or at the door.
