PUTNAM --- The Putnam Public Library will kick off its summer reading program from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be music by Echo Uganda at 11 a.m. and a program on how ham radios work at 2 p.m. The library's book sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 963-6826.

'Cruising' Fund-raiser
PUTNAM --- The 8th Annual Day Kimball Healthcare Cruisin’ for Cancer Care Motorcycle and Classic Car Cruise will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. at the Kennedy Drive municipal parking lot. Fireworks
PUTNAM --- The town of Putnam will blast off its fireworks from Rotary Park. The Outriggers will entertain starting at 7 p.m. Fireworks go off at 9:15/dusk. All welcome. Food available for purchase. Bring lawn chairs, blankets. Rain date July 9.

4th Celebration
E. WOODSTOCK --- The 55th annual East Woodstock Congregational Church's 4th of July Celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It includes: Chicken BBQ, parade, hayrides, food booths, children's games, frog jumping and pie-eating contests, live music, Fireman's Water Polo, and more.
