Terence O. Dennison,

HAMPTON — Terence O. Dennison, 75, of Main Street, husband of Marijo Dennison, died Aug. 10, 2011, at Day Kimball Hospital from complications following hip surgery. Born in 1935 in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Mary C. (Bennett) Dennison.
Terry was a respected member of the aviation community serving in senior management positions for over 40 years. He had been a pilot, senior vice president of Operations and Marketing and president of several airlines and aviation companies. He had been recognized in England and France and by the Regional Airline Association for his contributions to the industry he loved.
Prior to his aviation career, he was proud to have been an Eagle Scout; he served in the U.S. Coast Guard where he spent a year at the South Pole. He started and ran his own successful photo journalism business, TOD Productions. Some of his early videography work is still being used today for crash fire rescue training at the NTSB. He was called on by Congress to appear as an expert witness at various U.S. agency proceedings. He worked for several years in Northern Ireland for Short Brothers and Harland. He was a world traveler who loved his adopted town of Hampton. He was optimistic, kind and generous.
He and his wife Marijo had 33 happy loving years together. He is also leaves three daughters, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren from a previous marriage.
The Memorial Service was Aug. 16 at the Hampton Congregational Church. Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam.
Alfred E. Bourque,

PUTNAM — Alfred E. Bourque, 89, of Hawkins Road, husband of Evelyn (Myette) Bourque for 69 years, died Aug. 13, 2011, in Mystic.
Born in 1922 in N. Grosvenordale, he was the son of the late Omer and Fabiola (Boucher) Bourque.
Alfred, better known as Fred, Dad, Pep, was a man whose humor and crazy antics could turn anyone’s frown upside down. Fred retired from the U.S. Button Corporation and continued to serve his community by spending his retirement volunteering at Day Kimball Hospital in which he logged in over 10,000 hours.
Mr. Bourque was a motorcycle enthusiast. His hobbies also included swimming, fishing, his Cub Cadet.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughter Judith B. Landry (John) of Putnam; sister, Rose Cook of Boca Raton, Fla.; seven grandchildren including, Chris and Marcia Bourque of Plainfield who he helped raise; 12 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Gale Robin Bourque.
Visitation is fat 9 a.m. Aug. 19 at Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial is in St. Mary Cemetery.
William E. Brisson,

W. PALM BEACH, Fla. — William Edward Brisson 63, of West Palm Beach died unexpectedly July 16, 2011, at the McGuire Veterans Medical Center in Richmond, Va. Diagnosed at age 35, he battled a rare heart disease for over 28 years.
Born in Putnam, he was the son of John Oliver Brisson Jr. and Susie Brisson.
Bill was a barber by trade and the owner of Scissors Palace on Main Street in Webster, for 18 years. He was a former resident of Worcester and loved his family, his Bible study group, the Red Sox, and scratch tickets.
He leaves his wife, Marie; son William; daughters: Melissa Brisson, Selena Parrish, and Debbie Watson; granddaughters: Hannah Rose Lynch, and Haleigh Grace Brisson; brother, John Brisson III; sisters: Donna Nason, Deborah Mayhew, and Linda Therrien; sister-in-law, Cheryl Brisson; brothers-in law: Wayne Therrien, Kenneth Vassa. He was predeceased by: his parents, a sister, Sandra Vassar, brothers, James, Joseph and Edward Brisson.

Maejel C Gee,

WOODSTOCK — Maejel C. (Bugbee) Gee, 93, of Woodstock, died Aug. 6, 2011, at home. She was the wife of the late Harry S. Gee. He died Aug. 30, 2001. They were married in 1937.
She was born Jan. 6, 1918, in Elmira, N.Y., daughter of the late William and Grace (Barrett) Bugbee.
She went to Pomfret School and graduated from Woodstock Academy in 1936. Maejel graduated from the Wellesley Gardening School in Wellesley.
She worked for Town & Country Garden Shop in Southbridge. She was a Ladies Aide at the North Woodstock Church. Maejel worked for the North Woodstock Post Office as the assistant postmaster.
She was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star, the Rebecca Chapter in Putnam for 35 years, she was a member of the Historical Society of Woodstock; she was the founding member of the Garden Club in Woodstock and a life member of the Worcester Garden Club. Maejel also loved to travel.
She leaves two children R. Naomi Gee of Woodstock and Frank R. Gee of Woodstock; grandchildren Judith Lyon, John Gee, Tom Gee, Christopher Gee, Kelly Ann Stanton, great-grandchildren, Kristopher Comerford, Katie Gee, Mallory Gee, Michael Gee, Mission Gee, Joseph McCarthy, Jillian McCarthy; step-sister Betty R. Bugbee of Liverpool, N.Y. She was predeceased by a step-brother Robert Bugbee.
The Memorial Service was Aug. 14 at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove St., Putnam, with burial in N. Woodstock Cemetery. Donations: Woodstock Area Garden Club, PO Box 323, Woodstock, CT 06281.
Gloria Bessenaire,

DAYVILLE – Gloria L. Bessenaire, 74, of Putnam Road, died Aug. 8, 2011, at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam with her family by her side. She was the wife of Paul J. Bessenaire. They were married at Our Lady of LaSalette Church in Brooklyn on Aug. 13, 1955.
Mrs. Bessenaire was born Sept. 16, 1936, in Danielson, daughter of the late Medeas and Adrienne (Gendron) Perreault. She graduated from St. James School and later from the Putnam Catholic Academy in 1954. She worked for over 20 years for First National Stores. She was a deli manager at Michael’s Market in Danielson when they reopened. She also had been employed at Danco and Allied Control. Her greatest devotion was to her family and her faith. Mrs. Bessenaire was a communicant of St. James Church in Danielson where she was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Society of Mary, Daughters of Isabella, and along with her husband, very active volunteers at the St. James Bazaar. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #2650 and the Fraternal Order of Police Ladies Auxiliary Lodge #3.
Besides her husband she leaves her children, Deborah Coolidge (Wayne) of S. Killingly, Michelle R. Brady (John) of Sterling, Marianne Bagley (Wayne) of Oxford, Paul J. Bessenaire Jr. (Robin) of Lake Wales, Fla., Peter J. Bessenaire (Debra) of Dayville and Patrick J. Bessenaire (Heather) of Danielson; brothers, Robert Perreault (Pauline) of Sterling, Raymond Perreault (Monique) of S. Killingly; 19 grandchildren, four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Marguerite Perreault and brothers, Gerard Perreault and Ronald Perreault.

Guy Toutant,

N. GROSVENORDALE — Guy Toutant, 73, of Ravenelle Road died Aug. 11, 2011, in Westview Healthcare Center. Born in 1937 in N. Grosvenordale, he was the son of the late Conrad and Alice (Spenard) Toutant.
Mr. Toutant owned and operated the former Toutant Auto Body. He served in the National Guard. He belonged to the St. Bernard Council of the Knights of Columbus in N. Grosvenordale and was a member of the Thompson Lions Club. He liked to fly, tend to his lawn, and putter around his house.
He leaves his son, Bryan Toutant of Seattle, Wash.; his brothers, Roland Toutant (Helene) of Woodstock, and Rene Toutant (Janice) of N. Grosvenordale; his sisters, Giselle Cornell (Angelo) of Thompson, and Muriel Angelo (Michael) of Preston; his sister in law, Barbara Toutant of Thompson; two grandchildren, Charlie and Chase Toutant. He was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Toutant; his brother Raymond Toutant; and his sister, Yolanda Toutant.
