Fun Run
THOMPSON --- The free 2011 Fun Run summer series is held at 6:05 p.m. each Wednesday through Sept. 21 at the W. Thompson Dam,. Sign in near the yellow gate at the Ravenelle Road parking lot. For people ages 7 to 88 who will jog, run or walk (1.44-mile and 3.1-mile options).
Art Exhibit
POMFRET CENTER --- The Northeastern Connecticut Art Guild will present an art exhibit, "Beauty of All," through Sept. 13 at the new Connecticut Audubon Society Grassland Bird Conservation Center on Day Road.

EASTFORD --- The Eastford Agriculture Committee will sponsor an Ag Faire from 10 a.m. to noon on the green at the Ivy Glenn Memorial. Includes farmers' market, agricultural displays, farm animals, and children's games. All welcome. Free.
Food/Craft Fair
EASTFORD --- The first annual Coriander Food and Craft Fair, in conjunction with the town's Agricultural Fair, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Park Visit
KILLINGLY --- The Killingly Historical Society invites the public to Pettingill Springs on Pettingill Road at Mashentuck Park (Falling Water) in E. Killingly at 1 p.m. Bring your own hot dog or hamburger and roll to cook over a fire. Condiments, salads, and drinks will be provided by our host and hostess, Bob and Linda Taber. After lunch you can explore the park, visit Pettingill Springs and walk with Bob and Linda and learn the history of the site.There will be a short business meeting.
Chicken BBQ

Concert
PUTNAM --- The Putnam Recreation Department and Legendary Artist's Entertainment will present “Back 2 School Live” from 6 to 8 p.m. at the bandstand at Rotary Park. This is the first year for the show, and hopefully it will lead to more. The four acts in this year’s show are some of the most popular up and coming musicians in the area. Missionary Program

Remembrance Service
CHEPACHET --- The Chepachet Free Will Baptist Church will hold a service of remembrance and national affirmation at 2:30 p.m. at the church on Rt. 44. The public is welcome.
