THOMPSON — Sept. 14 brought 136 golfers to the Raceway Golf Club for the 32nd Annual Marianapolis Golf Tournament. Participants enjoyed a full round of golf and lunch as well as on-course contests, raffles and refreshments. The day wrapped up with prizes, an auction and raffle results in the club restaurant. Each year the tournament raises over a $30,000 in scholarship dollars for area students pursuing a Marianapolis education.
“This tournament kicks off our Annual Fund for the 2011-12 year,” said Susan Andersen, director of Development. “We are grateful to everyone who sponsored the tournament, donated auction and raffle items and to those who came out to play! Our success this year, and every year, wouldn’t be possible without their generosity,” she adds.
