POMFRET — Two of Rectory School’s own, Daquon Ervin and Chancellor Ellis, were selected recently to compete in the New England Elite Showcase in basketball.
Ellis, who is in his first year at Rectory, hails from Lehigh Acres, Fla.,Ervin was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y.,and is in his second year at Rectory.
The Elite 75 Showcase is one of the most prestigious basketball recruiting events in the region that is designed specifically for the top freshmen and sophomore prospects in New England. This was an opportunity for both Ervin and Ellis to receive advanced instruction while competing at a high level of competitive basketball. As in all recruiting events, these two boys were able to prove their talents to prospective colleges while also having the chance to be evaluated by the New England Recruiting Report.
Both boys continue to work on their skills and look forward to the winter, every basketball players’ favorite season.
