Vet Program
PUTNAM --- The Aspinock Historical Society of Putnam will have a joint program with the VFW at 2 p.m. at the VFW hall on Providence Street. The program by Fab Cutler will be a tribute to those Putnam people who served, gave their lives, and were buried in overseas American cemeteries. If anyone has journals or memories of their WWII service experience, or family members' service, we would be very interested in having you share them, or better yet, having written copies of same for our archives. Over 1200 Putnam people served in the military during WWII. There were 35 Putnam people killed, and more than a dozen of those were buried overseas.
