DUDLEY --- Nichols College Incoming President Susan West Engelkemeyer  presented four alumni awards and inducted five into the Athletic Hall of Fame at the annual Alumni Awards Dinner held recently.
The Ken Thompson Alumni Service Award went to Raymond P. Faucher ’56
Ray Faucher’s commitment and dedication to Nichols College is undisputed. He was a member of the Alumni Board of Directors for many years, and has routinely served as a reunion volunteer for the Class of 1956. His late brother “Skip” ’50 and son Peter ’81 also attended Nichols. In 2004, Faucher endowed the Faucher Family Scholarship, which was established to help a deserving and motivated student from his hometown of Thompson, Conn.
Faucher is the retired president and chairman of the board of Superior Cake, Inc., located in Sturbridge, Mass, and has also spent time in the banking industry. He’s also been involved with numerous civic organizations, including the Thompson Zoning Board of Appeals, and Thompson Fire Department.
He lives in Thompson, and has six children, Kathy, Ray Jr., Pete, Karen, Susan, and Paul.
