PUTNAM — Putnam Science Academy won their fifth game in a row Jan. 16 beating Brimmer and May 72 - 56 at the BABC Classic. Johnny Joseph scored 14 points and added 11 rebounds, Shaun Lawton contributed 14 points and six steals and Tyree Robinson added 14 points and 6 rebounds for PSA (10-3).
Dayshon Smith added 13 points and 4 steals for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs trounced Marianapolis Jan. 13, 66 - 37 at Marianapolis.
PSA freshman Tyree Robinson had 13 points, nine rebounds and three blocks to pace Putnam Science (9-3). Teammate Shaun Lawton added 14 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Dayshon Smith added 13 points and 4 steals and Oscar Assie added 7 points and 9 rebounds for PSA.
On Jan. 11 the Putnam Science Academy’s boys’ basketball team beat Cushing Academy, 69-62, in Ashburnham, Mass.
Dayshon Smith netted 22 points to go along with four steals and four assists, helping lift the Mustangs (8-3) to a road win. Shaun Lawton added 14 points, seven steals, five rebounds and five assists.
Freshman Tyree Robinson had 12 points, six rebounds and two blocks, while Johnny Joseph chipped in with 12 points.
