NORWICH — Putnam Bank Foundation recently presented the final pledge payment of a $25,000 grant  to Three Rivers Community College in Norwich.   The grant, awarded in 2008, was given for the purpose of establishing a perpetual scholarship fund at Three Rivers Community College.  
Thomas A. Borner, bank chairman and CEO, said, “Putnam Bank is pleased to have the opportunity to support  TRCC’s mission of  providing an accessible, affordable, and culturally diverse community college that meets varied educational needs by creating an environment that simulates learning.” Putnam Bank, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, is a $487.2 million federally chartered and insured stock bank. Putnam Bank has branch offices in Putnam, Pomfret Center, Danielson, Plainfield, Griswold, Gales Ferry, and Norwich. It also operates a full-service loan center in Putnam.
