Water/Sewer Collections
The April 2012 billing of water and / or sewer collections for the Town of Putnam WPCA is due and payable on April 1, 2012, through May 1, 2012.
Payments made after May 1, 2012, will be subject to an Interest charge of 3% (1.5% per month) or $2.00 minimum whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute SEC. 12-146. Mail must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2012, to avoid interest charges. OFFICE HOURS: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 PM

Zoning Board of Appeals
The Town of Putnam Zoning Board of Appeals held a meeting on April 17, 2012, at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall located at 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT. The following action was taken:
Appeal # 2012-005: Fidelis Holdings, Ltd. — Request for variances from the Town of Putnam Zoning Regulations Section 730 for property located at 111 and 115 Woodstock Avenue on a nonconforming lot of record with two residences in order to split the lot so that each residence is on its own lot. The applicant request for 115 Woodstock Avenue is a reduction of one side yard from 15 feet to approximately 2.50 feet and for 111 Woodstock Avenue a reduction of one side yard from 15 feet to approximately 2.50 feet and a reduction of minimum lot size requirement from 7,000 sq. ft. to approximately 3,840 sq. ft. Property noted by location Town Assessor’s Map 007, Lot 327. Zoned R-7. DENIED

Pomfret Community School Cafeteria
The Board of Finance of the Town of Pomfret will be holding a Public Hearing on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 7:00 PM at the Pomfret Community School Cafeteria in accordance with Section 7-344 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
Itemized estimates of expenditures of the Town for the ensuing fiscal year of 2012-2013 will be presented and the Board of Finance will hear all persons who wish to be heard in regards to any appropriations which they are desirous the Board will recommend.
Copies of the proposed budgets are available at the Town Clerk’s Office, Town of Pomfret, Five Haven Road, Pomfret Center, Connecticut.
