Art Exhibit
POMFRET --- The Northeastern CT Art Guild is sponsoring a members' art exhibit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through Sept. 23 at the Connecticut Audubon Society of Pomfret on Day Road. A reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 2. All welcome.

Sunflower Fund-raiser
POMFRET --- A Sunflower Celebration fund-raiser will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lapsley Orchards on Rt. 169, to benefit children’s programming at United Services. Lots of activities.

POMFRET --- The Pomfret Seniors Association will have a fund-raiser luncheon meeting at noon at the Pomfret Senior Center on Mashamoquet Road. Meatball grinders and salad for $5. Bring your own beverage.

Fund-raiser
PUTNAM --- Wonderland Books on Main Street will host a book signing and meet and greet session with Neville, canine star of the book “Neville: A Dog With A Secret” from 5 to 9 p.m. All proceeds from the sale of the book will go to Passion 4 Paws, a no-kill non-profit animal rescue group in Dayville. Mum - Bake Sale
BROOKLYN --- The Friends of the Brooklyn Library will sponsor a Mum and Bakes Sale from 9 a.m. to noon on Rt. 6 on the front lawn of the Federated Church.
Food Drive
PUTNAM --- a drive for non-perishable food and cash donations for Project Northeast will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Knight of Columbus Cargill Council 64 home on Providence Street. Donations may also be left, between now and Sept. 8, two locations of Joseph’s Jewelers, 153 School St. in Putnam and 158 Main St., Danielson.
