Pace
The Pace for a Purpose, sponsored by the 28th annual Pomfret Hunter Pace, raised about $3,500 for the Day Kimball Hospital Deary Memorial Fund. The Pace was held Oct. 7. About 160 riders rode in the 28th annual Pomfret Hunter Pace. The Lions Club provided a chicken BBQ and the pace was held around Tyrone Farms. Cailyn Gallerani of Eastford, bottom, raised the most money and won sixth place in the jumping division and Best Costume with her friends Hailey Chmara and Emily Manski. The "Bees" with Eileen McManus, top, raised the second largest amount of money. Helen Scanlon, equine artist, donated a custom portrait of a horse.
